The China-Europe Cultural and Business Initiatives are operated by Heathcote International in order to develop inter-cultural communication and understanding, throughout a range of sectors including business, culture, education and the arts. The services offered include:

• A space for the exhibition and sale of Chinese art.
  
• A range of Chinese cultural activities, including cultural lectures and seminars, Chinese film shows and cultural entertainments
  
• A range of courses:
  
  • Professional development courses for European and Chinese executive clients, interested in developing collaborative business relations between Europe and China.
    
  • A Matching Service to match companies in Europe with similar type companies in China, with the intention of promoting international business activities.
    
  • Cultural training courses for everyone interested in studying Chinese landscape painting, Tai Qi, herbal medicine, acupuncture, Chinese language and Chinese music. These courses utilise the services of visiting experts from China.
    
  • A pre-university language and study skills course, combined delivered in both Britain and China, to prepare Chinese students, wishing to apply for places at European universities.

An important aspect to all the courses offered by Heathcote International is the international mobility of clients and experts to facilitate cultural awareness, experience and understanding. This allows:

• Company managers to be introduced to their counterparts in Europe/China and to understand more about the impact of European/Chinese culture on business strategies, before becoming involved in important business negotiations.
